Rich earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and his master’s degree in Sociology before completing the doctoral studies program in Sociology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Rich taught at the university level for 14 years and left academia to start his own consulting business, Scheig Solutions. Rich travels as a trainer, presenter, and keynote speaker on the topics of employee selection and performance.

In addition to his role as CEO of Scheig Solutions, he serves as Board Chairman of Cottesmore Child Care which operates three childcare facilities in the Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Washington area, as a Deacon at Chapel Hill church, and as a volunteer in various afterschool programs for elementary school students.
