Kirk has been working in software design, development, and implementation for more than 30 years, providing custom business software solutions.

Before that he and his wife Carla started a language development/Bible translation project in South Sudan. Kirk has maintained an active interest in the South Sudan/East Africa area and is involved in several mission/service projects both in Africa and in the South Sudanese community here in the US. Kirk served 9 years on the board of Tacoma Philharmonic, a music-presenting organization, including 2 years as president. An active amateur musician in his own right, Kirk performs and produces with several local music ensembles.
